HSC — $1 CUSTOMER INFO HUB PROJECT

One NZ business.
One new website.
NZ$1.

I’m selecting one suitable New Zealand small business and building it a custom, mobile-friendly Customer Info Hub for NZ$1.

A focused one-page business website designed to make it easier for customers to understand what you do, find the important information and take the next step.

Applications close 8:00 PM NZDT, Thursday 15 October 2026.

What you get

Small does not have to mean basic.

A Customer Info Hub is intentionally focused. It gives customers the essential information they need without turning a simple business website into a large, expensive project.

The detailed scope and limits are set out in the project terms and confirmed in writing before work begins.

  • A custom, mobile-friendly one-page Customer Info Hub with one agreed design direction
  • Clear sections and light copywriting shaped from your business information
  • Your supplied images prepared for the web
  • One simple enquiry form and two consolidated revision rounds
  • Basic search setup and optional client-owned Google Analytics
  • Domain connection, deployment and 30 days of hosting and defined launch support

Why $1?

One real business. One properly documented build.

I want to take one real New Zealand small-business project from its current online presence through to a finished Customer Info Hub and document the work properly.

Rather than building a fictional demo, I’d rather put the work into a real business where a focused website can make a visible difference.

No hidden subscription

The first 30 days are included.

The selected project includes 30 days of HSC-managed hosting and basic launch support.

After that, you can arrange alternative hosting or a reasonable handover, or voluntarily continue with HSC Website Care. No paid plan starts automatically.

Project fit

This will suit some businesses better than others.

Probably a good fit if...

  • You do not currently have a proper website
  • You mainly rely on Facebook, Instagram or Google Business Profile
  • Your existing website no longer reflects the business properly
  • You own a domain that is not doing much — or you do not have a domain yet
  • A focused one-page website could make your business easier to understand and contact

Probably not the right fit for...

  • Large e-commerce stores or product catalogues
  • Complex web applications or membership platforms
  • Large multi-page corporate websites
  • Projects needing extensive custom functionality
  • Unlimited revisions or open-ended development

If your existing website is already doing its job well, you probably do not need this project.

How selection works

Fit matters more than popularity.

01

Apply

Tell me briefly about the business, any domain you already have, and what you would most like to improve.

02

I review the applications

This is not a random draw. I’m looking for a project where a focused one-page site is a strong practical fit.

03

One business is selected

I contact the preferred applicant privately first to confirm scope, content, timing and any domain or technical access needed before anything is announced.

Questions

The important bits, plainly.

Is the website really NZ$1?

Yes. The selected business will pay NZ$1 for the agreed Customer Info Hub build. HighStakes Creative normally offers this service from NZ$550. Domain registration and renewal charges, if needed, are separate.

Why are you doing it for $1?

I want to take one real New Zealand small-business project from its current online presence through to a finished Customer Info Hub and document the work properly. I would rather put that effort into a real business than build a fictional demonstration site.

Is this a competition or random draw?

No. One suitable business will be selected based on project fit. Likes, shares and follower numbers do not affect the decision.

Do I need to already have a website?

No. The project may suit businesses with no website, a weak or outdated website, or a domain that is not currently being used effectively.

Do I need to already own a domain?

No. If the selected business does not have a domain, HighStakes Creative can help select and technically connect a suitable one. The business registers it directly in its own name and account and pays the registration and renewal charges separately. The project can proceed only if a suitable domain can be secured.

Do I have to continue paying HighStakes Creative afterwards?

No. The build includes 30 days of HSC-managed hosting and basic launch support. After that you can arrange your own hosting or handover, or choose to continue with HSC Website Care. No paid plan starts automatically.

How long will the build take?

Timing is agreed for the selected project. After checking capacity and receiving the required information, assets and access arrangements, I’ll confirm the start date and estimated launch date in writing. There is no standard fixed build period or promise of an immediate start after selection.

What does basic launch support cover?

For 30 days from the agreed launch date, HSC provides managed hosting and email support for launch-related technical issues. HSC fixes faults in its own implementation. For third-party form-service failures, hosting outages or client changes, HSC investigates and explains the options without guaranteeing a fix outside its control. New content, redesigns and additional functionality are not included.

Can a business outside Auckland apply?

Yes. The project is intended for suitable New Zealand small businesses, not Auckland only.

What if I need more than one page?

The $1 project is specifically for a focused one-page Customer Info Hub. If your requirements are materially larger, this particular project is unlikely to be the right fit.
